Let me not bore you with stories Affiliate marketing is helping others to sell their products or services. It is the process by which an affiliate earns a commission for marketing another person’s or company’s products or services. There is nothing mysterious about it, it is what everyone do from day to day but don’t get paid for it.
The affiliate simply searches for a product or services people need or that solves a problem then promotes that product and earns a piece of the profit from each sale they make.

How to Start Affiliate Marketing
1. Search for companies offering affiliate marketing opportunities on their products/services
2. Choose a niche
3. Locate your target audience/market
4. Create a platform or leverage on an existing platform to Promote your affiliate link.
There are thousands if not millions of companies you can promote their products and services and earn from 10% to over 100% commissions anytime you refer customers to them, I have a list of 100s of companies you can leverage on. You can also search for companies on Google.com, there are companies around the world that will pay you if you help sell their products, there are many Nigeria companies and individuals as well offering the same opportunity. Though I don’t do Nigeria affiliate because they pay in Naira and very little commissions compared to companies in US and some other countries
Choose a Niche
Lot of people failed in affiliate marketing because they want to sell for products and services they see online You must choose a niche, a specific topic you are familiar with, and willing to cover. It’s not a must you know everything about the niche because you can hire people to do the work for you but pick a niche, as for me I only promote web-related products and services.
Locate your target audience/market
Know those that will buy what you want to sell don’t go and be selling ice to Eskimos. If you are promoting web tools like plug-ins, email service, autoresponder your target audience are web owners, developers and people that need the products you are promoting
Create a platform or leverage on the existing platform to Promote your affiliate link
I use to tell my students there is nothing mysterious about online its what you are selling that you bring online to sell to people You need a platform where you can share your affiliate links to the customer, the platform can be a website, blog, Youtube Channel, social media account or an email list
Once you have your domain and hosting then you are good to go to just INSTALL and set up WordPress.

After you’ve set up your website the next thing is to create content. The content you create must be relevant to your niche and also interesting and engaging enough to keep your audience coming back
Many find very it difficult to write about what they are promoting but this is no longer a problem because you can easily find information online and you can hire writers to write for you.
